Meltblown nonwoven materials deliver high strength when wet, and can easily absorb chemical treatments, making them ideal for wet wipe applications. As it can capture very fine particles, meltblown fabric is also idea for filtration media.

In this process, polymer granules are melted and then extruded through spinnerets as extremely thin microfibers. These fibers enter a fast stream of air and become randomly mixed, forming a web structure which is collected into rolls and then converted to finished products.

The random nature of the web formation means that continuous monitoring is essential to detect surface defects or web breaks during the process. This supports the production of a consistent product that meets performance requirements.
